I think the U.S. t/d is a m18 (hellcat?).

About the German Hetzer i've driven 2 in my lifetime ( 1 with an original engine!) during renactments and such.

I think the 2nd tank is a M47 Patton 1, note only 3 wheels for upper track. Smile

Ok, the tank arrived the day before so not even the personel at the museeum knew.

And the last one is either a hellcat or achilles. I now remember seeing the names somewhere.

Do a search for "M47 Patton 1" found some good pics, tracks match and the main gun has a simple muzzle brake also.

Your right Klingan the US t/d is an M10 Achilles. M18 has more of a Chaffe type suppension, M10 has the M4 style. Also muzzle matches the 17 pdr.

Ok some more pictures

Ill keep it on WWII for awhile.

La Roche North of Bastogne

Inside the tank

Sherman (again)

M16

Stuff still beeing found in the woods

La Glieze
This is how far the Germans came North of Bastogne.

This König Tiger ran out of fuel. And when the gerrmans where going to destroy it, some Americans came along and bribed them with a couple of bottles of Vodka for not destroying it. The germans took the Vodka and went back to their lines.

Pretty much. Yea. But i guess most of them have been placed there after some restoration. The place with the Sherman in the middle of the town center is Bastogne.

It was the place that the Germans never took in The battle of the Bulge. They had it surrounded for several days/weeks, before Patton could come in from the South to liberate them.
Around 80.000 American soldiers died.
